Hey evryone. Anybody know how many 0550s were made w vanax35 before switching to s35v? Thanks
 
Ahh. I see now. Some dealers just have them listed w vanax still but all are s35v. I just ordered one and am happy w either steel. Thnx
 
The only 055X which had vanax 35 were the protypes, one sold on ebay for $350 a few months ago.

I wonder how limited the 551's really are. They blew past the 1000 as I have #1180 and I have heard of 1200's.

I believe the additional ones were made to make up for blems so the net number of pristine 0551's that were produced was 1,000.

Not sure how the blems count in the total, but there were a number of early ones that were recalled because some parts had not been properly treated.
At any rate, the total in the wild is near 1000.
