Got another one. ZT0566, Built like tank is right it's a heavy thing for a smaller EDC. The G10 is just like a PM2. Just opened the box so I have to play with it for a bit.

Next to the 0770CF and PM2

The only ZT I own at the moment is a 0566 and I've been happy with it, very solid feeling knife. It started out somewhat stiff, but seems to be getting a little smoother as it's cycled more.

Well after a few days I was not liking this knife. Mainly the flipper action, to much effort to open it. So....I deassisted it. It took about 2 minutes and holy crap what a difference. I have the blade centered using that trick where you tighten the pivot and losen the 3 scale screws. Now it flips using the studs. I was going to put this one up for sale but now I think I'll keep it.

So, at first this knife was not doing it for Me. The action was so hard to open. I thought of selling it but figured I'd try to deassist it instead. That took a whole 2 minutes and damn what a difference. Got the blade dead center and with a little white lithium grease on washers this sucker is smooth and quite fun to flick now. It's moving up my EDC rotation. I may even add a CF scale and some of those blue screws.
For anyone thinking of getting this knife it begs to be deassisted.

Just pulled the trigger on a 566. Can't wait to try it out. Best place to get custom screws and inserts to change the look up??

I was very disappointed with mine at first, due to the extremely stiff action (and I didn't want to de-assist it). After working it a bit, and slightly modifying my flipping technique, it's fine, and I no longer regret the purchase.

It's still a little stiffer than I'd like, but I imagine it'll improve some more. I love everything else about the knife.

You can actually use the blade stops as thumb studs afterwards

Yup, mine is very smooth. I opened it with the AO once and that was to remove the G10 scale so I could take out the torsion bar. I cleaned it up, polished the washers and lightly oiled it. It's centered perfect and buttery smooth. Opens with the blade stops, and easily shakes closed. It rivals my PM2 and Manix 2 as my preferred EDC when I want a larger blade.

I completely agree. Other than I wouldn't say it's a larger blade lol. I love this elmax too because it's so tough
