ZT0562 Double Lockbar Over Travel WHY?

Was looking at the ZT0562cf and was wondering if there is any advantage to having the Hinderer disc and screw lockbar over travel stop and the ZT over travel stop on the lock bar insert as well? I have a Hinderer with just the Hinderer stop and I have a ZT 0450 with just the insert and both work great. Why double stoppage? Is there an advantage to 2 or did they just want to look cool?

I think it's cost effective to make one style of lock bar insert. Instead of having a different one for the 0562. Like how Dodge uses the same chassis on the Challenger, charger and Chrysler 300c. Instead of making a chassis just for the Challenger. Sorry only comparison I could think of at the moment

No, he is asking why does the 0562 have two overtravel stops.

Here is my best guess. The lockbar steel tab ZT uses has a built in overtravel stop, so when they fit the lockbar tab they used a design they had already made, this included the overtravel stop tab. (This has two functions, preventinf lockbar overtravel, and the steel face that contacts the tang)

At the same time the Hinderer lockbar stabilizer is a trademark to Hinderer’s style. They wanted to have it on the knife because of the recognition. Luckily the Hinderer stabilizer also has two functions. Overtravel stop (redundant) and lockbar stabilizer (prevents pushing the lockbar towards the spine of scales and thus bending it in a way that will change the lockup)

Ok, I guess that makes sense. I would think that the hinderer design would be better the bigger the blade due to the flexability of the lock bar. I looked at my Eklipse Gen2 and it does move toward the spine on the first half but the stabalizer prevents it from moving to far. Maybe it does make for a stronger mechanism overall.

Hinderer designed/invented the LBS so I would have to assume he wanted it on the collaboration even if it was not necessary.

You said double post, i assume that you meant this has been discussed already on the forum and I was wanting the link to it.
