I am struggling with which one to buy so any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. I am a fan of both brands and I do have two spyderco militaries and ZTs. Have never tried a folder with the wave feather (except CS talwar if that is regarded as with a waved opening), and that the zt0620cf is on sale is itching me. I know the easy answer is to get both, but lets say I only have 200 dollars to spare.

Depends on how you favor deployment. Both are good quality however I would say go for the knife works as its a sprint run and the values for those rarely go down in case you decide you don't like it.

+1 on the above, I always recommend going with the one that will be most difficult to get later

I have both and love em, the biggest carry difference is weight and at some point, eventually, the lighter knife wins for EDC purposes, the military in this comparison. But reading over your question, you're already sold on the zt0620cf and you can't lose either way. It's a bit fancier than a mili too.
One thing though, imo a talwar waves easier/better than the zt.

Ooo tough call

The sprint run effect strikes again!

Id grab the millie.grab it out then sell it for the ZT

That ZT will always be there

Sprint runs move fast.

Am I correct that the KW exclusive green g10 cts 204p millie is technically not a sprint run, meaning it will likely be available for a long time just like the BM 710-1401?

The problem with me is that I like every knife I bought such that I dont want to sell any of them. Have tried really hard not to buy for three months.

Since ZT 0620CF was just recently discontinued, effective July 1, 2016, the price has gone down quite a bit from the usual $240 MAP price to about $190 (KnifeCenter) now. Very few dealers currently have the ZT 0620CF in stock at below MAP now. Many sold out between between July 1st and July 4th. Some dealers continue to sell it at full MAP of $240.

Spyderco Military CTS-204P Dark Green G-10 exclusive to KnifeWorks will probably be reduced in price if the past is any indication. Right now, it's $200 which is only 26% off MSRP and normally Spydercos at MAP are 40% off MSRP. With a 1,200 pieces run it'll be around for quite a while.

Thx RamZar.

StryCoShaw - I am a bit surprised to learn that the zt0620 does not wave as well as the CS talwar. Thinking more, it may be due to the fact all three sides of the talwar disc can catch clothes?

The Wave on the ZT0620 works fine. The issue that I have is that the framelock cutout can catch your pocket if you have the clip too tight.

These knives are two completely different beasts. This is a hard one. Yet being so different should make it easier to choose. I prioritize things when i get ready to buy another knife. What will its role be? When will it be carried? Whats the purpose of the knife compared to the rest of the knives owned?
