Just picked this up in a trade on a whim. Usually I like to do a little homework before I get a new knife. I don't know anything about this one, and it's my first Zero Tolerance knife. Any opinions or comments from you more experienced guys would be appreciated. Thanks!

The ZT 0350CB has a nice chunk of ELMAX steel, very similar to CPM-S30V. Some say they can tell an immediate difference, others cannot tell. It's a terrific cutting tool with excellent steel. Congrats on a great score.

I don't think he got a CB blade, "Combo blade"

To the OP, Its a ZT, Beat the tar out of it!

No, it definitely is the combo blade with the Elmax. Is numbered 0246. Had to have it. Traded a BM950 Black / Charcoal handle for it at a local knife shop.

Great score

To reduce confusion though their proper distinction is composite blade ;)

The Elmax is great stuff, enjoy, beat, sharpen, repeat :D

I personally found the knife to be a bit small for a hard use knife. For an EDC knife I found the blade to be a tad thick for easy cutting. I've since bought a ZT 0301, which filled my hand better and had a smoother opening and closing thanks to the titanium framelock and I think PB washers.

The 350 also has PB washers. The 350 CB is actually smoother or was than the 302 I have. I have since broken both of them in a bit and relubed them. ZT makes excellent knives for sure.

A great example of a great knife, made by a great company.

I picked up a 350 CB several weeks back and it's risen right up to the top of my collection as an all-time favorite. It's a fantastic knife, up, down, sideways, whichever way you look at it.

Better than that nappy ol' Rift, that's for sure...:D

(Just joshin' a bit--I'm a fan of Benchmades too, but I do like the 350 better than the 950 in this case.)

Best,

Heekma

You made out on that trade IMO.
The 350CB is a superior knife. I have one and carry it quite a bit.
Enjoy and have no regrets.

Thanks for the opinion. As a newbee, I often don't think I know what I'm doing at this. While I liked the blade shape of the 950 more, overall I like the ZT better. Feels better in the hand and it's fun to flip open. I guess in the long run, if I'm pleased with what I wound up with, that's all that really matters, but I do appreciate tapping in to you more experienced folks.

Great knife, I have a 350 plain edge....but I have been debating having veff serrations put on it.
