ZT801 BLK Titanium Anodizing with DLC Coating

I just purchased a ZT 801 BLK that has the DLC coating on it. I wanted to remove some of the DLC coating to expose the titanium and then anodize it. Can anyone tell me what will happen to the DLC coating that is left on the scales?

Nothing should happen. The only portions of the titanium that should change are the raw exposed parts. DLC coatings are not reactive and have no iron so they shouldnt react poorly in your solution. Should make for some very interesting contrast. Id love to see someone anodize blackwash and see what happens.
