ZT9 Bayonet: Anyone actually use it?

Why do you think 3V would be any better in real world performance? A stainless like S30V is better (IMHO) than many full carbon steels. 3V might perform better, but will the user see any difference in the realistic use of the weapon? Probably not much, if at all.

I know now that I will be getting one, once I have the funds.

Got one in hand today. Should have had it a week ago, but GD USPS!

It is AWESOME.

I need to get the handle off, but it seems to have some lock-tight or something on the screws. It does appear that if I can get it off it will be reversible. I think this will improve it's use as a bayonet and a utility knife. I just don't have any regular allen wrenches here. I have hex drivers, in a few varieties, but nothing I can really turn hard with. Soon though :D

S30v is a perfect choice for the zt-9. I don't think you need to be so tentative in your defense. It is highly recommended for larger blades of this
Type. If you have the cash it will last forever and won't rust like 1095. I love my zt 9 and I really don't think you could break this knife unless
It was your mission to break this knife. So if you want a knife that will last forever and is beautiful and is the largest piece of very expensive s30v steel I have ever seen get the zt 9. If you want a very tough well designed totally user knife that will do the job but will rust away if it isn't meticulously maintained and you won't love in your collection get the awesome okc3s.

I'm carrying mine right now.

I had it for a while. In truth, like all knives I've had that size, I found myself looking at it and then picking something lighter to carry. It's a great bayonet, and a very good knife. If I was still toting an M16 or M4 for Uncle Sam, I would be glad to have this with me.
