According to Cold Steel's catalog they DID make a black talon. Here's the link to the catalog
http://www.coldsteel.com/catalogs.html it's the 2003 catalog with the Laredo Bowie on the cover.
On page 5 it shows the picture and states
"Our new Black Talon will rip, cut, or slash through
just about any material thats vulnerable to a razor
sharp edge. Its sinuously curved blade cuts coming
or going and terminates in a talon shaped, needle
sharp tip thats resistant to bending or breaking.
Made of 440A stainless steel with a sub zero
quench for toughness
and edge retention, and
hollow ground to a thin
edge, it will bite at the
slightest intention.
The intelligently designed handle is made of two
injection molded Zytel® parts or halves bolted to thick
stainless steel liners. Its a comfortable, non-slip grip,
thats lightweight and virtually unbreakable.
To protect fingers from the Black Talons sharp cutting
edge, we have utilized our state of the art rocker
lock. This lock features all of our latest refinements
and, in our tests, rivaled, if not exceeded the strength
of any other locking mechanism on the market.
For instant access, a uniquely shaped thumb hole
makes one handed opening
a snap, and, like our other
folders, it has a strong,
yet compact pocket clip
for easy, effortless
portability.
of our own design."
