Why does the new software not hold my login?

The links on the forum itself need to be fixed. Doesn't make a difference if your bookmark is correct, the moment you start navigating around the forum you're kicked off. It's a quick and easy fix (find http replace https). Can't quite work out why it is not being done.
 
Still not working....can not click on links to older BF posts, or you get logged out and turn into a non member.....no one cares :confused:
 
now when I click on pictures I get turned to the login page......and I can't login.....but who cares :confused:
 
I'm not having this problem at all when I use Firefox in Windows but in Safari on an iPad it logs me out constantly. It truly is unusable there which is unfortunate as that is how I spent most of my time on BF. I'll have to try the Firefox app on the iPad and see how that works.

Try deleting your saved cookies and passwords on iOS. That worked like a charm for me. Didn't bother with all the http stuff, just deleted my saved cookies/passwords and signed back in.
 
Just to add some more info
Doesn't hold my log-in with chrome, firefox or edge - Win 10, win 8.
iOS used to hold my login, but for the past 2-3 weeks, it no longer does as well.
I have tried clearing cache/cookies on all devices - no difference.
 
I'm having the same problem, but occasionally instead of all the time. Still pretty annoying. Using iOS.
 
I guess someone was experimenting around 9:15pm PT because I got the locked out message same as others even though I've been trouble free via SSL (https) since acknowledging the symptoms early.

This whole XenForo transfer from vBulletin for BF was badly mishandled in many ways and forms since the very beginning.
 
Add to the list of links that need to be updated/fixed:

"View Deal Thread" when viewing and hoping to look into a member's Feedback via "View Trading Profile" page.

I clicked on a View Deal Thread, was logged out upon arrival at said page, and repeated attempts to log in failed, correct info and REMEMBER ME boxed check and all. With each attempt, the page reloaded without my being logged in (repeated/repeatable). After another failed attempt, I added the "https://" to whatever page I was on, and here I am.

Grrrrrr.

I have to strongly disagree, my experience was no issues for months until the recent switch to SSL.

I've been experiencing constant log outs since re upping my membership. Using Chrome on an iPad. Going from one page to the next can log me out. Moving in between sub forums will kick the log in. Clicking on a pic, as well.

I haven't seen any updates to forum members but I might have missed them.
 
I haven't added my 2 cents because this problem usually occurred for me when clicking a thread link in an email notification to a subscribed forum. Lately, however, it has been happening with greater frequency when just clicking links to various forums. While not an earth-shattering problem, it is becoming frustrating.
 
After clearing cookies for BF.com on all my devices, and the site going back to defaulting to HTTP I've been able to open links without getting logged out. In all fairness Google is forcing this change with their search/ranking/SEO polices on every website. Changing every bit of code on a website to use HTTPS is a daunting, time consuming project. I think Spark may have underestimated the complexity and backed out the changes.

..... pretty much what is happening to me almost constantly the last few days.
 
^^^ same for me as well just came over to this side of the forum to see if I'm alone looks like I'm not
 
Looked like it was fixed earlier today but as of tonight every link I hit logs me off
 
I've been trying to keep track of when this happens and since yesterday, there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Sometimes I get logged off just clicking on a thread in a forum or opening the thread in a new tab. Just now, got logged off when while in the Feedback forum and clicking on the link to mark the forum read. The ONLY thing that is consistent is getting logged off when I click the thread link in a notification email (in which case the software is sending the email with the link to the thread as an HTTP address instead of HTTPS). However, back to the getting logged off when trying to mark the Feedback forum read ... the address of the the Mark Forum Read link is an HTTPS address AND I was previously logged in by entering the site via a HTTPS address.
