Why does the new software not hold my login?

Even the logo can be clicked without logging me out now. Awesome, many thanks kevin.

Ironically, this morning, I came across one stumbling block. In clicking on a linked (BF) thread in reading a post, the link began with 'http://www.bladeforums.com', and that logged me out while connecting me to that thread under 'https' in the address bar. I'd earlier read or seen (or maybe figured out) that if the links begin with 'https://bladeforums.com' (including the 'https' AND omitting the 'www'), they work as they should, without logging me out. I manually edited the URL in the address bar to omit the 'www', and was immediately connected to the thread under my own account.

With all the thousands upon thousands of older 'www' BF links embedded in users' posts on the site, I don't know that this is something easily fixed by you or your staff alone. It may come down to making everyone aware of the pitfall in those, and relying on members to (eventually) edit/correct those links they've embedded in their own posts. OR, maybe there's some sort of parsing/script solution to redirect, I don't know.

At any rate, I'm thankful for all effort by you and your staff, in working the bugs out. :thumbsup:

The bladeforums logo was the only thing logging me out for weeks now. So I stopped clicking on it and hadn't been logged out.

Https:// worked like a charm. The only thing that needed fixing was the logo and bam now that works too. Perhaps other devices differed. Shrug.
 
Same here Chris. Working fine now for me too.

Haven't seen you around much lately brother. Hope you and the fam are doing well my friend.

Still having the same problem as of 5 min ago...fwiw, im using Opera. No idea if that makes a diff.

Ok Internet tough guy. This isn't the forum for your shenanigans. But there is a forum for that.
This isn't the first or last technical issue to happen since I've been a member, and Kevin does in fact address them. Maybe not to your time line but then again, who the hell are you?

I suggest you calm down and enjoy the site.
 
Still having problems with staying/keeping my log-in. I've cleared cookies and have browser set to remember passwords, etc.

Just noticed new thing about login in.

For now it does keep me loged in but if I am viewing a post and click on the link (to another post here) it logs me out and also only able to view that specific post. Do NOT see any replies in that thread. Not sure if its the person adding the link in their post/signature is doing it wrong or not but it logs me out.

This is repeatable so it must be something with site. Just fyi

EDIT: by the way its using safari on my ipad
