The whole package is brilliant. The knife is obviously an art piece, but not at the expense of a beautifully sculpted handle, and a lovely blade.
And the feather is awesome.

If you don't mind sharing . . . I am curious. How did your collector communicated to you what they wanted here? Did he/she ask you for something related to Poe? Or was it more general or specific than that? What was the process?

sorrry for the late answer, I had a show in solingen this weekend.

this project was a ´free´ work- no order,
(but I have to admit: I built it in view of one of my customers, because he owns this one: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-be-eaten-the-sabertooth-(sort-of-WIP-teaser)
I knew he would be interested...and he was.

to complete it with a display was my decision-
this way I could create the ´surroundings´ with the feather and bones.
...and after the buy I was happy, that my customer didn´t ask for an additional sheath-
so I had no pain to fit the sheath-mouth to the skull. ;-)))
