💥Blast from the Past💥 (unofficial nostalgic older knife thread)

IIRC the Rolux knives were also made by Gerber Knives during the 1980s. They were an interesting OTF at the time.

Gerber bought Benchmark in the 1990's and etched their logos on the Rolox series. I have some but don't have a picture right now. They also relabelled a few of the other models like this SSII. Top one labelled Benchmark and below is Gerber.

Then in the 2000's, I think, CRKT came out with this version called 'Rollock'.

About 23 years ago or so I was in Vegas with my brother. We spotted a knife store somewhere and I purchased my first Lone Wolf. It remains in my edc rotation to this day........ :)

I sold my sneaky auto version😥....but there were lots of issues with the scale release sear.......Great blade otherwise...... Love my lobo in Coco........ D\A of course.😉

Here is one that we should all remember. The Rekat (Round Eye Knife and Tool) Sifu was the knife shown on our early Bladeforums logo for a number of years and one of our first forum knives. A classic and massive knife (even if it was designed for a 6 fingered hand)

Unfortunately, these knives are now part of a lost art. These are traditional Chamorro knives made on Guam. When the US acquired the island after the Spanish American war, the population was very small. By the 1920 census it had grown to just over 12k people. At the time there were a couple of knife making families on the island. The last one past about 10 years ago and he tried but was unable to pass the tradition on; the younger population wasn't interested. I shared this photo with him about 20 years back and he was excited to see knives that were likely made by his grandfather.
