Siiiiggghhhh....ok. (rubs forehead) Ok, Bladeforums. I'm not mad. I'm not. I'm just, I guess I'm just more disappointed than anything else, because no one, not one of you (looking at you fellow longtimers!!!) has posted this knife yet. A knife that for a period of time, was mentioned, shown, or talked about in virtually every thread on the front page in Gen Pop. All this fame and history and not one of you has posted it? Fine. It's fine. I guess I'll be the one. I'll do it.

Here, ya filthy animals, here's ya Ontario Utilitac II!!!!! Ya welcome!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Ok, kidding aside, here's a few of my favorite older knives from my collection:

Kershaw Ken Onion designed Storm II
Benchmade Elishawitz designed...Blackstar I think?
Lone Wolf Bill Harsey designed giant SHF precursor
Boker Walter Brend designed folder, not sure if this one even had an official name from them.

Nothing funny about it. It is absolutely the company that Sal referenced.
Back in the day, Gerber was an industry leader. They started working with G. Sakai in the mid 70's to make this series of knives that Al Mar had designed. G. Sakai got Hitachi to give them exclusive access to this particular blade steel for the project. It was heat treated by G Sakai to 58-60 HRC. The tolerances that G. Sakai held in producing these knives is phenomenal.

I was awaiting your entrance, Chip. 😏

Nice!

I’ve either been drinking or do have 2 of these…such cool folders from Pacific Cutlery Co.

Does anyone remember the name of this quirky knife? Bal-i-song?

All I've found says it was officially called the "Model 983", based off Barry's "Mk. 10" design.
