0-1 Trail Master - Shipping Now!

As always, our manufacturing process is privileged info. I'm sorry but I can't share those details.
All of the 0-1 models will be clearly marked (see my earlier post with the photo)

I hope that helps and I'm sorry I can't be more specific
Thanks

Thanks. All the O-1 models will be Martempered though, correct? The Recon Scout too, right? Also, was I incorrect in calling the later SK5 models Mar tempered?

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Joe

Thank you for the clarification. Now I need either a O-1 trailmaster or Recon Scout.

Probably whichever I see first when I get cash

Mastiff, mine came in today!! All I can say is "wow"!!! That was $140 WELL spent!! I will open a new thread and post pics.

You guys are killing me! I now have the SK-5 and the San Mai III.... I'm trying to hold out for the Recon Scout for O-1 but I don't know if I'm gonna make it.

Congratulations Vegas Blade. I've been chomping at the bit but it's the wrong time of the year for me to spend money on me. I'm still trying to decide on Trail master or scout. I already have both and have for decades from Carbon V, to SK5 ,now waiting to get O-1. Should be a nice knife with the Tool steel though I do admit being impressed with the SK-5 models as well. None of these are true "super steels "

Afternoon, my first post and it deals with the how to id a SK-5 from an O-1 TM.

From the post from "Cold Steel Knives" it looks like all TM should/will have "TAIWAN O1". If so, then the knife I bought 5 days ago may be a SK-5 although it was
marketed, presented, and sold to me as an O-1. Not that SK-5 is a negative but still I like to get what I thought I was getting.

Before I whip out a uncomplimentary email to the seller I'd like to be certain about this which is why I joined the forum and get some expert feedback.

Can't seem to load any pics so on the right side of the blade looking at from the top, sharp edge down, it says "COLD STEEL" then "TAIWAN" below it.
On the left side it says "TRAIL MASTER" followed by the trademark. No sight of O1, O-1, O 1.

So what the consensus? Thanks in advance for any responses.

All 0-1 models will be marked like the image below.
If it doesn't say 0-1 then it is probably the old SK-5 version...

I was pleasantly surprised by the "01" marking when I thought I was getting a "SK-5" model. I would post pics, but I can't seem to figure out how.
