Just curious, did he specify in the original sale thread, "PayPal + 4%", or did he wait until after you said you would buy it to ask for the PayPal fee?

If he did, that's another thing he needs to work on for future sales, be VERY clear about payment methods and fees BEFORE sale.

I don't think this was an issue-- I believe he stated this from the start, but to be honest, I wasn't even considering Paypal. I only use Paypal for one thing that has nothing to do with knives, namely buying nutritional supps from someone who does not take a CC. As such, when I am not going to buy these supps, my Paypal account sits at about $5. Sure, I could have thrown money into it, but we all know that is slow too.

it takes 10 days for me to get money into my account and seconds to take it out so that pisses me off that paypal keeps the interest for those 10 days sorry , for the rant

ps i did a deal with 007 agent zzero a while back and it went smoothly , but that being said i do think he could have chose his wording a bit more carefully or specifically stated that time/payment was a major issue

Not just Paypal. Pretty much any financial institution, credit card issuer, etc., will have it spelled out somewhere in the fine print that they will post credits and debits in a manner that is most advantageous to them. Where I work we might credit a customer for returned merch and process an exchange order for them on the same day. Guess which one shows up on their card immediately and which one takes 1-3 days?

Doesn't seem too concerned about redeeming his reputation either. It's been a week and he hasn't rebutted anything since.

...if you don't feel comfortable dealing with me then back out. I have had plenty of praise from BF members to worry about one knife collector I pissed off. That's what he said to me.
