When I started making knives they didn't have computers...heck, they didn't have calculators.
The princess phone was the hottest thing on the market.
We used slide rules or paper and pencil.
Eisenhower was president and Nixon the VP.
O'clock really meant something back then. ( It isn't far from archaic today)
As far as I knew, I was the only knife maker in the word ( no internet). I never met another maker for another 30 years.
All knife steel was found steel. Tire irons were my steel of choice.
Half the guys reading this will have to google some of the things just to see what they were.
