You guys are weird... If you have such precise demands for a knife, get one made for you. If you can't afford it, wait until you can or find better income. I mean...really? It's a company's fault they don't make things you specify?
^ I agree. It's not that ZT, or any other reputable company for that matter, can't make a knife like an XM-18. They just are choosing not too. It very well could be the partnership they have with Rick Hinderer. How would you like if you partnered with a company to make some knives and then they turned around and made a cheaper copy of a popular knife you sold? That would hurt your business significantly. Not a very good business move or healthy partnership is it? Think about it.
If you want those specs on a knife, then buy an XM-18. It seems that the real reason for the complaint is that it isn't affordable for the one complaining and they want a clone that is.
I wont pay the going rate for an XM-18 either but I'm not going to bitch to another company on why they don't produce a clone that I am willing to pay for. Buy something you are willing to pay for and be happy. There are many out there.
