Everbody loves to start complaint threads, seldom do you see threads singing praises when everything goes perfect.
Considering the volume produced, some issues are bound to crop up, even in limited edition runs.
Perhaps if people used more forethought and consideration in their postings ThomasW and the giveaways he liked to do would still be here.

Exactly, but this is the world we live in, we tend to jump at the chance to point out when someone makes a mistake, but seldom do we praise them for a job well done. Irritates me to no end, why do we get upset, because Kershaw is like family and yes we love our family. I was always taught that If I didn't have something nice to say, say nothing at all. Maybe those other 999 guys that got perfect ones will chime in with some Love. Like I have said before "We can all play in the sandbox, you just have to watch out for the wet spots and the turds".

Well said Karda and Dave.

It might just be a company to most. But there are people who work there who are passionate about these knives. They dont just go to work to pay the bills. They put themselves into these knives. And ya, one came out messed up. So you have to call them out on it as publicly as possible?

Go figure why peoples on a discussion forum want to start discussion about their experiences. They should be flogged publicly.

Would you tolerate someone coming to your home or place of business to publically flog you for a simple error?
It works both ways. Don't start the flogging if you cant take a flogging.

^ This times a million.... Kershaw/ZT/Shun are my knife family...they are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to know.. From Thomas, Jimmer, Lynda, Sarah and on have been nothing but amazing to me..

And both of my CBCF have been flawless...my 0777 had a slight problem..did I make a big stink because I paid $600 for it...nope..I emailed ZT and that was it.. And now its back and perfect..

No one is flogging kershaw. Thy guy paid $400 for a knife and got a cracked scale. There's a difference between flogging a company and venting about an error. The guys bummed that he has to send his knife in. And he came to the manufacturers forum to vent. Pretty understandable to me. We all know this isn't common an it happens from time to time and when it does, especially on such and expensive and highly anticipated knife, it will be talked about. Sorry it happened to you op.

My eyesight is so bad that I probably would not have noticed the crack. That's why I have a magnifying glass for such things and just checked mine.

Such objective feedback is essential as a service to fellow bladers and themanufacturer. Nobody is perfect. Feedback left on the manufacturer website or Facebook page can easily be deleted. It's like a balance sheet without liabilities.

Personally, I don't subscribe to the viewpoint that if you don't have anything good to say then don't say it. I write a lot of AARs and always try to stay objective and to include the good, the bad and the ugly...

I strongly suggest that you change the subject title of the thread to something like: "0560CBCF issue with CF scale". Also, once the situation is addressed by KAI to give a full accounting and then change the subject address again to something like: "FIXED: 0560CBCF issue with CF scale".

OP, sorry for the scale imperfection. Warranty will take good care of you.

Feel any more here could turn unproductive. Let's all move along now.
