I feel we understand the quirkiness of knife guys. They obsess a lot more that non and casual knifies. It always seem to be the same things they get quirky with. Let's see, there is the detent set up with flippers (some too strong, others too weak). There is what we are seeing here, the lock up position (it's all over the board on this one). Then there is the edge that always gets talked about (never sharp enough).
Personal knifey preferences make it very difficult for any manufacturer to produce to. It is interesting to see the way one goes about dealing with a perfectly functioning knife that isn't quite to a personal liking with regard to a detent, lockup, and edge sharpness.
Well if you read my first sentence, I said, "We understand the quirkiness of knife guys".Can you blame guys that are spending $2-800 on your higher end models for being quirky? We're not talking about some $15 Gerber here lol.

Empathy goes a long way.
$200-800? That's a bit vague. I've never seen a ZT priced over $450... But at $200, I don't mind having to tinker. I tweaked the detent on an extra 0801 I got last night. It was too weak for me, now it's perfect. It functioned fine out of the box though, so I can't find any fault in it.
As for the 0600, I can't comment. My lock up is perfect at about 40%, detent is perfect, and it's serial #0002...and I didn't pay for it. Perfection at no cost.![]()
777 base price most places was 600

I paid the full $600 from KnifeArt, and feel lucky!
