and isnt it adjustable?

I'm just glad I was fortunate enough to get one of these. It looks amazing right next to my CBCF. Great job, Kai!:thumbup:

Oh, oh, forgot about the blade centering. Not even a stache hair off. :D

It is awesome to see you guys providing some feedback to our feedback. I agree, most of us here are divas when it comes to this stuff.

1) Centering can't be a hair off.
2) Screws strip (after we use the wrong torx driver).
3) One tiny orange spec (might not even be rust).
4) Lock up isn't at 1%.
5) Says EL MAX instead of ELMAX :p
6) Edge won't whittle hair.
7) Detent too strong.
8) Detent too weak.
9) Won't make coffee.
10) ZT logo is fading.

I feel we understand the quirkiness of knife guys. :) They obsess a lot more that non and casual knifies. It always seem to be the same things they get quirky with. Let's see, there is the detent set up with flippers (some too strong, others too weak). There is what we are seeing here, the lock up position (it's all over the board on this one). Then there is the edge that always gets talked about (never sharp enough).

Personal knifey preferences make it very difficult for any manufacturer to produce to. It is interesting to see the way one goes about dealing with a perfectly functioning knife that isn't quite to a personal liking with regard to a detent, lockup, and edge sharpness.

Can you blame guys that are spending $2-800 on your higher end models for being quirky? We're not talking about some $15 Gerber here lol.

$200-800? That's a bit vague. I've never seen a ZT priced over $450... But at $200, I don't mind having to tinker. I tweaked the detent on an extra 0801 I got last night. It was too weak for me, now it's perfect. It functioned fine out of the box though, so I can't find any fault in it.

As for the 0600, I can't comment. My lock up is perfect at about 40%, detent is perfect, and it's serial #0002...and I didn't pay for it. Perfection at no cost. :D

I managed to mangle the pocket clip on my 0600 already. I wonder if there are any extra of those lying around.

See that doesnt bother me so much. I understand that sometimes it can be hell to get a blade perfectly centered. Especially on framelocks. You have things going on that play tricks on your eyes such as the lockbar making you think its off center but its actually because the lockbar is closer to the blade because of the detent. The other thing that has played tricks on me is the blade has a grind that isnt perfectly symmetrical as it tapers to the tip making you think its off center. Dont get me wrong I prefer a centered blade. But In my early 30's I have been able to compromise on some things, lol.
