Hello all!

Took me long enough, but I've finally passed my 1,000th post.

In celebration I will be giving an Opinel away to a lucky member. I don't know which model yet...watch this space..

***decided on a carbon #6 since it's already in my collection and unused...and that's a shame!***

Count me in! I would love to have one.

I have only used one for a day to get a feel for the steel prior to modding the handle and sharpening the blade on a Coworkers No 9.

I'll counter your 1,000th post with my first post! I started a few hours ago looking into replacing my cheap blades with something more substantial that I took time to research, and wow what a wonderful rabbit hole I've discovered. Would love an Opinel to help start a new collection.

I'm not going to enter this as I feel there are some others that could use it more than I could.

But I wanted to say thanks to OP for doing this anyways! I'm new here, but it's always cool seeing how well the community gets along.
 
I'm in, thanks for the GAW. I was looking at Opinel models, last night. I'm starting to love carbon steels.
 
I had an Opinel when I was 11. I didn't appreciate the simple grace back then. I would love another try. I keep meaning to get one but something keeps coming up.
