1/4" x 11/2" and 1/4" x 1" 1084 AVAILABLE!

Hey Aldo,
I bought a bunch of this wonderful W2 stuff from you (really from that shady partner of yours Mace), and I wanted to know if you had the analysis results for it still... I've been looking all over for it, and can't seem to come up with it!

Thanks in advance! I'm hoping to get a hundred pounds more from you two in the near future!

I've got 5 gallons of Parks #50 coming from Darren Ellis soon, also... will report back with results, if you wish.

It's gonna be tough getting 100# together but I'll speak to Mace and see if he can fork some over. Between the 2 of us we should be able to come up with it.

If you want, I also landed a 500# odd lot of W-1. I got 7/8 sq. bar, 1"sq. bar,3/4", 1" and 11/8 rnd bar. Gotta get it tested but your welcome to try a few pieces.

Do you plan on going up to Wulfs Hammer In. We can deliver it upto you there.

As a matter of fact, if any of you guy's are going and want me to bring it up, it sure beats paying UPS!

Aldo

Yup, I'll be at Dick's show, for sure... Ought to be a blast!

I'll be breaking up my 100 lbs. into some of the 1" and 1.25" 1084, too -- so you boys should easily be able to cover me.

-or I'll just steal Mace's steel!:D

Don't think I could hack the W1 in those sizes... remember, my skinny butt doesn't have access to a power hammer, and I'm made of piper cleaners! We'll see...

So, do you have the analysis for that W2? If not, it's not that big of a deal, but I DO love the details!

The specs on the W-2 are as follows:
Carbon 1.08
Mang. .22
Silicone .25
Van. .22

JM,

If you E-mail me an address, I'll be happy to send you out a piece of the W-1 you can play with. I'm going to try and get test samples out at the beginning of the week.Should have an answer by the following.

ANYBODY ELSE WANT TO TRY THIS STUFF LET ME KNOW!!

Terry,

If I did I'd have a path worn out to my door! But, I know someone who recently had a very large piece cut into 3/8"x11/2"x 4 foot slices. I might be able to get a hold of a piece or two. This stuff still has the bark on it from the mill. What are you looking to do with it?

I was thinking of clay coating some to try some nice hamons. I don't have a power hammer so i was looking for some that was already mostly flat.

Not a problem Terry.....As soon as I know I can get a hold of them. I've got to do some sweet talking. Meanwhile, send me a Zip.

Aldo

Aldo, have you gotten that money order in the mail from me yet? Sorry to be a pest, but you know how it is when you're waiting for goodies... :o

Sweet!! Thank you kindly :) I was wondering if I remembered to put my real name and forum name on the letter so you'd know who the heck was asking you :o :foot:

EDIT: received the steel yesterday, thanks much for the great service. :)
