1000 POST GAW
I am giving away a handmade knife for my 1000th post! I hope someone can put it to good use.
RULES:
-18 years of age or older
-Must have been a member since at least January 2015
-Must post a picture of a custom knife that you own, or any other knife that you own.
-Canada and USA only. I would ask that international members would pay for shipping.
-One entry per member.
-The winner will be picked on Monday, March 2nd, at 18:00 PST
The Knife:
I sent this little baby out on a hunting trip with a friend of mine, to see how it performed. Well he got to use it quite a bit and was happy with it. No chips or rolls, and it skinned a Bighorn sheep, as well as an elk. It came back to me with quite a bit of patina on it. I cleaned most of the patina off, but there is a some patina visible where the ricasso meets the guard. The handle was originally finished with Danish oil, but it was not robust enough. I stripped the handle, and refinished it with Tru Oil. It has been used but is in great condition.
Here are the specs: Its made from Aldos 1084 steel, deep coloured cherry wood handle, with a canvas micarta guard. The handle is very ergonomic, and is super comfortable in the hand. Balance point is right behind the guard. The blade has a scotchbrite satin finish. Comes with a leather sheath.
Blade length 3 7/8″
OAL 8 5/8″
Blade width 1 3/8″
Spine 1/8″
Comes with a signed birth card
