It's called K-Horn. It seems to hold up much better than the older types of celluloid. It might be some kind of plastic or delrin derivative. I don't know. This is a good question, maybe some of the guys here will know what k horn is made of.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm not sure what we're calling "vintage", but both of these are the same age; from the mid 70s.

The top one is a Sabre Japan fruit tester, with genuine Mother-of-toilet-seat scales, and the second is a Kabar swing guard with Delrin scales.

Congrats on 1000 posts!! Thanks for the Generosity.

I've still trying to get full ID on this one but this sytle is german higher end knives that I am still cleaning. Prior 60's for sure perhaps even prior WWII. I've haven't got tang stamp out yet. I got two other 50's and 60's cheap german pockets knives. Exact dates unknown.

Here's two Parker-Frosts from 1976-1978 (older than I am) Delrin Trapper and Delrin Stockman.

Congrats on the big triple zero, Duncan! Nice GA knife - someone is going to enjoy a nice carry!! Nothin' fits a pocket better than a Canoe!!
Please don't enter me, as I already have too many of those little "Boats"!

Yes, please put me in the hat -- very nice canoe (another pattern I don't have any of). I don't have many vintage folders - most of mine are antiques. But here are three nice Case 62052 two blade congresses - top one is a Case XX, the other two are Case XX USA (no dots). Enjoy.

Great giveaway! Thanks for the chance and congrats on the 1K posts.

Here's one that I've had since it was new. It's got some stains and spots and is a little wobbly (kinda like me I guess :)), but it's an old friend.
