Ok, I'm new to the whole random giveaway thing so let's hope this goes well.
This giveaway is open to participants in the Lower 48 United States and Canada only, If you do not have a shipping address in these areas please to not try to participate.
This giveaway is intended for new knifemakers only. If you are relatively new to knifemaking AND/OR have made 4 or less knives you are eligible to enter for the giveaway. There are 100 entry slots. I will make a list numbered from 00 to 99 and will update the list as I have time to. Each person that is eligible and wants to enter must post "I'm In" and I will update the list with the names in the order that you posted to this thread. ONE entry per person. The winning numbers will be based on the first two numbers of the September 17, 2009 pick3 as drawn by Western Canada Lottery Corporation http://wclc.com/ If all the entry slots are not filled, the closest entry to the drawn numbers will be the winner.
Up for grabs is two (in case one gets ruined) 12" pieces of 1/8"x1-1/4" HR 1084 steel
4" of stainless steel barstock (3/8" x 3/4")
4" of stainless steel 3/16" rod
1.5" of 1/4" stainless steel tube
1 set of non-stabilized, bookmatched scales of your choice of either Padauk, Ipe, Bubinga, Lacewood or Zebrawood
10' of paracord to make a lanyard
and if requested, I will heat treat the steel after you are finished shaping, beveling and drilling your blade.
