This is a single side flat grind, aka chisel grind, blade. Very thin and light, with a nice thin edge profile. This is a great knife for every day use if you prefer a fixed blade to a folder. The point is not needle like but sharp. The profile is a slight drop point with a gentle curve.
Leather sheath shown is included.

Dude no need to reduce your price beautiful knife if I wasn't poor I woulda bought it before.
 
well, I'd cut the price previously on the original thread, only fair to keep that price when reposting. :)
 
Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm not sure why this didn't sell the first time, low exposure I think. it got slid off the first page pretty fast. I've done a bit more cross posting to other venues (sending interested parties to this thread) so maybe it'll get more of an audience this time around.
It's such a basic design, with nothing particular about it making it stand out, that I think a lot of folks who might be interested just don't feel the need for yet another knife in this category. :) I need to work on making my stuff stand out a little more, make sure each one has something special about it.
 
Sometimes there is nothing more attractive than a nice plain knife....

unfortunately I've already got one very similar to this, otherwise I'd be jumping on it.

Great price for the knife that's for sure.
 
Yes, I agree very nice indeed. Please let us know when there is more :). Any plans for say 4" or 4 1/2" with same thin profile?
Looking for something that I could EDC IWC. Yours look like they would fit the bill perfectly. Sometimes simple is striking.
 
I also really liked this knife and would love a square pocket sheath instead of the belt loop so i could throw it in the back pocket. Congrats to the buyer and maker!
 
There certainly will be more, though my next batch is a distinctly different style. I really enjoy making the smaller EDC style knives.
Wizzard, I might give something that size a try, but the problem becomes avoiding warp during HT when you start making something that long and thin. I did a bowie with a 6" standard grind blade thinned down like this and the darn thing is still sitting on my desk unfinished because I need to straighten it some more, it will never be perfect but I'd like to at least finish it for my own use. I might give it a try in the mid length though, and if I make it a standard double sided grind and take a few steps during the thermal cycles to reduce the odds of a warp maybe I can make it work out. Some days I really wish I had more blacksmith equipment around, certain things are just easier with a hammer and anvil. :D

Seriously though guys, I really appreciate the comments. I'm still getting a feel for what people enjoy and what my own style is. My goal for now is to make every knife one I want to keep and this guy definitely fell in that category. I've got a couple by another maker that are along the same lines though, and if I don't sell what I make I don't put money back in the budget to keep going. :rolleyes:
