1084......For Sale...........

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!! got my 200 lbs. Thanks to the guys for cutting the 1 inch down to 3 feet for shipping. That means that I don't have to do it...lol. When you get more of the bigger stuff, I want some more!!!!! Any chance of having your guy roll some out the the next batch at 5/16 or so x 1 1/2 for those very large blades??:D

Actually I was thinking of having the W-2 made in 5/16 x 11/2"
That would work:D What kind of chemistry are you looking at for the W2? The guy you had roll that 1 1/2 did a super nice job. I like those crisp, square edges.

Aldo, Don't get this W-2 made up. As it is I have more steel than I could ever use up in two lifetimes. Even though I don't need anymore steel this new batch sounds very tempting. Whats the minimum batch you can get made up?

Ray...with the size of knives that you have been making recently, you had better recaculate your steel needs. You may find that you only have 1/2-3/4 of a lifetime's suppy as opposed to 2 lifetimes...lol:D I have around 450-500 pounds of premium grade steel now which will last me at least a few years even calculating in how much I am goig tomess up when I start trying to make damascus:eek:

Joe, I'm done with the huge blades for awhile. I really think Aldo is teasing us with this W-2 run. Mess ups? It still happens to me.

The W-2 will be a while. I've got to get the 1084 first. As far as chemistry for W-2, it's not that exact a science when you're mixing tons at a time. And finally, Ray when I get the stuff I'm sending you the first piece free just to bug you.

You kidder........ :D

It's mostly still in scrap yards waiting for a melt! Am planning on ordering it for late spring. It's obvious you need a couple hundred pounds this time around:D

I just pounded out two blades from the stuff yesterday. I definately want some more of that 1 1/2 "roll your own" stuff:D I pounded a piece of it down to 1 1/4 to bulk it up a bit and then forged out a somewhat Hansonesque 9 1/2 inch blade. Me like!!!!

well since i missed the last go around, i'd like to put my name in for at least a hundred pounds of the next lot.

eagerly awaiting the next melt

Are you guys still not taking paypal?
Because I want some of the 1" X 1/4"....

Phill,
I have a pay-pal account set up and will use it if I have to. They are "sensitive" about anything firearm or knife related...and thats all I'll say.:thumbdn:
