1095 for marking gauge knife

Don't forget to play with your pre- quench heat as well. You may not be getting all of your carbon into soloution, and a bit of extra heat would help that. Also, you may want to read the other thread going on right now, "questions about treating 1095 and 1084" which has some good info in it, and gets a bit more into the technical aspects of what's happening inside the steel. Very enlightening.
