WOW, it has been 10 years and 4 days since I signed and delivered my Beckerhead application!!:

https://bladeforums.com/threads/an-evening-project-or-the-mythical-bk-2-3.817266/

If you've ever wondered about the cryptic BH# in my .sig, it's a calculation of 66, which was picked as the integral floor of 2/3 of 100 to match my application above.

To honor this momentous moment, my rapidly approaching 10,000th post, and ten years of knifemaking, I would like to give back to the community of Beckerheads with whom I have spent most of my BF electrons.

To mirror my original BH Application, which chronicled my attempt to make a 2/3-scale BK-2 (last seen hanging on Ethan's wall in his old shop!)... that was my second knife ever...

I will be giving away a 2/3-scale riff of my most recent Becker-Inspired design, The singular AuK-3:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/auk3-kephart-in-a2-and-burlap-micarta.1721436/

RULES:
1) You must be a Beckerhead by the time I hit 10k and the giveaway closes
2) You must be 18+ years old and legal to receive a knife in your jurisdiction by closing
3) You must reside in the United States (CONUS+2)
4) You must own at least THREE Becker knives by closing, and list them (no fibbing!)
5) You must post at least one picture of your most inspiring Becker knife (or knives) with an explanation of why they are meaningful to you OR of what they have inspired you to do
6) If you win, please send pictures of the AuK-3 with its Becker brethren, especially including a BK-62 if you have one.

I will close the contest when I reach 10k. Selection will be by random drawing vs. post #s, modulo exceptional applications that may be granted additional entries.

ETA: BTW, our very own 710 (BH#710 ;) ) made the burlap mycarta that became scales on this knife. This really is a Beckerhead production!

Well I’m in for such a cool GAW. I’d like to do one too so maybe during the summer I’ll do a GAW.

I have a whole mess of BKs.

Too many to list. But this is a pic of the larger blades.

I do also have the most of the tweeners and I have the 98 and 62 as well.

Becker’s are the only knives I use and collect.

The Becker BK9 has been my go to for quite some time. I've beat on this thing like it stole something, and it keeps asking for more. I've used it for years now, and it shows. Although it looks more military perhaps, I consider it more of a woods knife. Chops incredible, batons with ease, and even makes french fries, but I swear you gotta crack that sumbitch just right. When I'm at the cabin, it goes with me wherever I go.

The other knife I've grown to love, is the BK62. I like the story that goes with it to begin with. From Ethan acquiring one of two Colclesser Bros made Kepharts known to exist, to getting them made close to specs for all of us to enjoy. So, when I use it, I can't help but to think about the story, and how it takes you back to the days of Horace. Plus, I modded mine to give it a sense of age, so that kind of adds to it a bit. The blade is a joy to use, and with the way the handles are contoured/shaped, I like all the different grips you can get on it. Orients in the hands very well. I've always been a fan of spear point blades as well. Makes drilling a hole in board a little easier. All around good/multi-purpose blade in general.

Have a BK1, 3 BK2's, BK4, BK6, BK7, BK9, BK11, BK13, BK14, BK16, BK62, and a necker proto.

Congrats on the anniversary!
I have a pair of BK4 (Cincy blanks), BK5 (user from Tooj and a spare), BK9 (modded grip w/homemade bamboo scales), BK12, BK15, BK16 (stripped and O'Faller scales), BK18, BK21 (modded grip), BK24, BK62

my favorite is the BK16 - because of the Osage Orange scales O'Faller made me out of the blue. This is my most used Becker. I'm not sure I've spent a night in the woods without it since I got it.
My most inspiring is the BK62 - because of the history behind it and the passion E invested in getting it brought to production.

Congratulations, and thanks for the giveaway!

My Beckers include BK2, BK9, BK14, BK17 (and a 21 on the way.)

Most inspiring would be my BK2. Obviously, with everything it went through. It went out West for a while, then Fal'er sent it back my way a couple years back.

With sheaths, because A knife is only as good as it’s sheath:
kqxkTis.jpg

I’ve some ka-bar sheaths, Nix Kustoms, Diez Knives(710), Sagewood, and Valhalla.

My most inspiring BK?...
Definitely my BK-11. Picked it up on a whim when ordering a Ka-bar fighter. I liked it better than the fighter for some reason...found the forums, and the rest is history. Haha! I have a most inspiring 2.0 which would be my BK-Siegle. This 1/4” thick bad boy is all sweet spot and hits like a sledge hammer! Most badass knife with Becker scales. (Hint, hint Ka-bar...let’s get this collaboration done!)

Beckerhead #349 checking in & congratulations on the big 10!

I have at least three BK&T knives. At least one of each of the following: BK4, BK5, BK9, BK10, BK11, BK13, BK15, BK16, BK17, BK20 & BK23.

My most inspiring Becker is not necessarily my most used, but it is one of my favorites, the BK10.

YdnjXjT.jpg

It's a fun knife. It doesn't excel at big knife stuff like the BK9, but I like to try big knife stuff with it. It doesn't excel at smaller knife stuff like the BK16, but I like to try smaller knife stuff with it. I want to use it so I reevaluate how to go about the task, big or small, in order to make it work.

Thanks!
