Well...I received my second BG-42 today.
This one is going to get used.
Interesting, to me, that it has a Brass Pin in the bolsters but the bolsters themselves are nickel.
Is this normal?

Should be interesting to see what JH has to say...but sounds to me like someone was too cheap to buy the extra NS eighth-inch rod... :D

Goose, Now that's a "one of a kind" Custom    :grumpy: Think I can get a brass frame with nickle silver pins? I'm sure Joe H. can resolve this issue.

  ...OH WOW...I thought you meant the scale rivets...That's definitely a one of a kind ya got there Marv...I wonder if there will be any possibility of some type of electrolytical reaction with that combination...Yep...Can't wait to hear what Joe says about that one...

Is that possible? Isn't the Nickel silver just plating? I never scratched or dinged my N/S 110's but I always figured it was nickel plated brass. Now I'm curious :D

OH by most deer friend please do not tease them so...
Nickel Silver is copper, nickel and zinc, if it containing high proportions of zinc it is stainless and called nickel bronze.
so no silver or steel nor is it plated...

All of my Custom Shoppe 110's are NS, I prefer it over brass and none of them came with a brass pivot.

I kind of like the looks of that. You wouldn't have a pic of the whole knife you could post would you?

yea that is it, send it to me i need bg , send it to me ,,,,

Things I think about before I fall asleep...
Maybe the pin is supposed to be plated nickel silver and the previous owner polished it down to the brass???

If that was the case at hand......we would be seeing a lot more golden eyed Bucks out there! No this was ether a custom ordered like it is...or...a mistake at the factory. It's truly a unique and uncommon knife.

Well this is obliviously some sorry reject. So put it on the forsale side and I will buy it to go with my other oddball 110's. :D :D

Goose... do the rear bolsters have brass pins or just the blade pivot pin?
