110 BG-42 NS Bolsters w/ Brass Pins

D and B...
I got it BIN and no, it wasn't described as a mixed-breed. I am very ok with it and the seller shipped it fast.
I didn't recall any ill-will from previous posts where he was racing against others to buy so I thought he'd be alright. And, in this case, has turned out so.
The 25th Anniv in the pic is definitely silver pinned BM10. I got sheety lighting.

Now, I am having second thoughts of using it, the "Golden Eye" as EDC. WWDD? WWTD? WWMD? WWLD? WWJD (that's "Jim", not "Jesus")?
I don't know why I worry about messing them up cosmetically since I don't plan on selling any of them. I don't know why I put 'em back in their boxes just to look at them from time to time. Most have never cut a thing. I'm beginning to think I'm just f'n wierd.

WWJD?? I think I would use this one! Very nice knife!
Your not f'n weird either, just a user/ collector! I have the same problem occassionally. I always liked my deals with Al. Fast shipping and well packaged. Actually Goose i almost bought this one...you beat me to it :D I emailed him and then was watching it in my feebay. Looks very nice to me. You will like it!
I thought it was a neat combo with the BG-42 and the 25th handle and N/S! With the 25th blade gone, its a perfect user!! I havent used my BG-42 Zipper yet- ( I cant :D) let us know how you like the BG-42!!!

Well, Goose, you didn't ask WWPD:rolleyes:, I'm going to tell you anyway...use that sucker...it's BG-42 and it's been rebladed and probably used before that. Enjoy it, carry it and use it:D. Preston

See below......Some times I'm sooo dumb........

Well here's my wwjbd (small caps as I was not asked ether) Well gooser.....If it was mine I hold onto it and admire it for a while longer before you use it.....remember we don't know if BG-42 will be offered again or not.......and that NK GE is well "To Cool for School" That's my 2 centavos for my weird buck brother.....LOL.....I guess Buck nuts are all a little off....."NOT". Goose, use that knife MAN I want your opinion on how it EDC's.....That's what it was made for.

Dave, et al...
I do not have a problem with it at all. I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen that "golden eye" gig before. I am VERY happy with the knife and left positive feedback. Paid like $6 for shipping. No problems at all...was just wondering if anyone had seen a brass pin in a nickel bolster.

ohhh ahhhh now i see your buck bros were jest carring on for you and getting your goat to get you to use it or loose it,,,
yes i would like one jest like it my self!!
and would even like a suprise tooo!
man some times i jest need bigger glases to read this stuff or quit drinking from that jar...
reminds me i gots to get some extra to take to fla as no telling were i could gett any meds down there.....

dave
in your earlier post asking about rhino i never put it together until this last post mentioning your jar :D the last time i seen rhino post he was getting set to go on a raid to your place and we havent heard from him since
i hope hes okay :p :D

Whatabeaut has more BG-42 rebladed 110's on eBay...

I'm beginning to think the reason Buck has no blades for blade upgrades is because whatabeaut has used them all up...

so goose i guess now your after a third lol
i think i would leave it as is but it would have been nice to know ahead of time eh ? but still a nice knife cool

Ya know BMan...the more I think about it the more I realize how bummed I would've been if I wanted a "perfect" Buck BG-42.
As it is, I have a 110BG-42 Walnut stored. I wanted a BG-42 for use and the fact that this one I just got is NS is a BIG PLUS to me.
But the "golden eye" is very obvious and should've been disclosed IMFO.
Nonetheless, I am happy.

When I got mine, he had three out there. Has he posted more?

Yes a nice Custom Shop FG with KOA flamewood and BG-42 of course. Buy it up :D

Nevermind it has sold already! Looked really sharp!

I'm tapped out for this month.
But, do you have the item number?
I'd like to see it in Koa.
Thanks Richard...

Wow. That's cool Larry!!!!
More pics!
What year?

Goose,
Its just a 3 line no dot, read tip up. Would have to take more pics of it. Ran across it and remembered that pic. No apparent modifications to it. Medium used blade. two scale pins.

Larry,

That's to funny.....Goose got the golden eye and you got the silver cyclops  . Yea...what Mavin said more pic's please :D .

For some reason, I couldn't figure out a thumbnail option for these. Sorry Trax. But this is the cyclops as jb named it :)
Note that the pin on front is smaller than the one on the rear. 3/16th give or take front, 1/4 give or take rear....Wonder why.... Knife appears normal otherwise. The stories they could tell, if they could talk.

just a reflection on rear bolster top pic...

..Larry...My 3rd verion variation 5 has the same condition...I sent pictures of it to Joe and he mentioned that one of the holes may have been made over-sized and the pin was peened to close it up. Mine is just about the same ratio between pin sizes as your's also...If I can find the pics I sent Joe I'll post 'em...
