110 pocket carry?

I'm going with belt carry now because it's a new brass 110 I'm trying out, but when I was carrying the LT, it was in my back pocket upright next to a handkerchief. When I carried an old school cell phone in that pocket, it would support even my brass 110s, but I don't carry my smartphone in the back pocket. As soon a I settle on an aluminum 110, I will try to go back to the back pocket carry as they are almost as light as the LTs.

I should note que je porte souvent des Key and Carhartt carpenter's jeans and they have good thigh pockets where a heavy 110 sits comfortably.

After I get the aluminum 110 I may also send it to MT_Pokt MT_Pokt for one of his lanyard loops!

Belt carry is only an option for me when I'm packing via shoulder rig which is only 2-3 days a week. Those are the same days I pack my 110 Auto. The other 4-5 days a week I'm usually lugging a 110 or 560 variant in my front pocket. I tried carrying my knife on the left, but just couldn't get used to it.

The aluminum 110s are a little more work, but come out just as nice!

For me, the 110 will forever be a folding sheath knife. I am simply not man enough to pocket carry a 110. :D

I tried pocket carrying for a while but because of its weight and shape, a 110 will naturally want to settle horizontally–which feels uncomfortable. Pockets are sort of shaped for your hands, not tools. I prefer a nylon sheath.

If you want to prototype Stelth's pocket in pocket idea, use safety pins to make the mini pocket. Suggest putting them on the jeans side, less leg irritation. Use this to get width right, or permanently to avoid sewing.

I carry a 110 more often than any other knife, but it would drive me insane moving around in my pocket. I prefer horizontal in the nylon sheath. I also tend to have my pockets almost full way too often to add something else to them.

If you think it’s hard to carry a 110 in the pocket, try carrying an open season folder with the pocket clip. No retention at all! Good thing the knife came with a leather vertical/horizontal sheath! Seriously, though, a vest or jacket pocket is much friendlier than a pants pocket (other than a large cargo pocket)for such a large knife.

I find the LT feels fine with the lanyard tucked in the belt. Thanks guys. I also made a sheath for either the regular or LT. Feels good so far. My first sheath attempt. A bit rough, but sturdy.

The reason I'm thinking pocket is. Because my phone's out there now. If not, it'd be in the sheath, no problem.
Easy cure. :)
Have your local leather smith (or is the proper term "Leatherwright"?) make you a combo sheath to hold both the phone and your 110. :)

Actually, all wise a** answers aside, I use a soft leather pocket type sheath (very similar to a Chris Reeve). It keeps a 110 upright in my front pocket and stays where I put it. GP has large Chris Reeve Slip Sheaths in stock.

Can any of y'all who carry any 110 in your pocket, front or back, please tell how you do it, and maybe post a pic of it in your pocket. I know I did in the 80's for a bit, but can't remember how. Thank you in advance. By the way, the new 110 LT is just awesome.

I usually only pocket carry the 112, but not because of the weight really, it's just easier because it is smaller. I don't know, for some reason I don't have that problem with the weight of the 110 that most other people tend to have.

When I was young I used to carry a 110 in my back pocket. It had enough weight it kept pulling my pants down and I would have to take a few steps, hitch up my pants, take a few steps, and repeat. Come to think of it, nowadays I have to do that anyway. :D:D:D

Pocket carry is why I prefer the 112 to the 110. It's not larger than my Otter Ankermesser, just heavier, a lot heavier.
