I read that in an old BCCI newsletter a short time ago.I have a few with the satin blade. I prefer the mirror blades ( have them too).....Were the satin ones really limited to 2,000?

good finds there Sir.
Nice job
prefer a run today with the fancy stamping. just different enough so the old and new dont get confused. without the stamping I'd prefer the slims myself.People today are clamoring for a thin model with aluminum handles and here Buck offered several 38 years ago. Perhaps do a short run of these without
the nice stamping, for a user. Huh,-- I've been carrying mine for years and a 110 will disappear in my back pocket. DM
This one is my only Like New In Box safe queen. All my other knives are users View attachment 1040797
Every time I look at a 111 with its tooled sheath I hear “ Like a Rhine stone cowboy”. Playing in my head
Yes and here are some other possibilities.Tiguy, that is a skinner blade from the V52 Selector. I like it. DM
Larry oden has one for sale now it has been used he says he never seen bbn one beforeOH, he likely got a 426 blade and had it installed in the 111 Classic handle. The blade came out in 1985 before the year date stamp and is likely 425M steel. They were first seen in the Buck lites handle. I never thought that drop point had the eye appeal and design that the Selector skinner blades have. Still, interesting history and Buck's first drop point for a 110. DM
That makes about 5 or 6 droppoint 111s
