I know you weren't asking me but .40s&w is a shorter, less powerful version of the 10mm. The FBI requested development of it after finding the 10mm recoil too strong.

There's nothing wrong with the .40 but I also prefer the .45acp.

Was it the recoil or the devastation of the 10MM that led to the more sheeple friendly 40?
