The are not bad - I have mostly transitioned to lead recently as I got into casting.

I shoot about 200-300 rounds in my Glock 27 (Lone Wolf Barrel) before I clean.
I scrubbing it after doesn't show much deposits in the barrel.

The key is - proper lead hardness and size - if the lead used to make the bullet is soft or not sized properly - the bore will lead after few shots.

I have a similar strop I bought on the fleaBay.
Also have one of the strops that Busse offered for a while.
And a razor strop I bought for straight razors.
