The only marking on the blade will be our logo.Buck Knives Inc. Will these have any distracting etches like "Limited Edition" or anything else on the blade?

In my mind, I picture one of us getting real confused when pulling a 124 out of the mailbox stamped with:"These aren't the droids you are looking for, and you will stamp the ricasso with "CUSTOM" : )
Ahhhh...significantly more and different materials in the 124 over the 119 and the market will bare it and ahhhh... Buck knives is not a charity for knife collectors but a for profit business that needs to turn a profit to justify its existence and keep its people gainfully employed.I have a 124 and really like it after reshaping the aweful handle but I’ve never understood the price jump from 119 to 124.
The 124 is significantly more difficult to build and finish than the 119. We can build up to 1,000 of the 119 per day and only 25 of the 124 frontiersman.I have a 124 and really like it after reshaping the aweful handle but I’ve never understood the price jump from 119 to 124.
^ this. the handle size and shape makes little sense. it's too blocky and large in diameter. it could be improved easily at the factory, instead of relying on home mods being done in it, to make it a better knife.I wonder how a brass knife would balance compared to the aluminum.
There's a big difference in the 119s.
I vote for an option to have the handle rounded off a bit so it's not as square.
I'm a big fan of large handles, and I wear a large / xtra large glove, and I don't find the 124 handle to be very comfortable. I can't imagine how it must feel with smaller hands.
If Buck would just round those edges off a bit, I believe it would make a huge improvement in how the knife feels in your hand.
I'm eyeing a wooden handle/ brass knife.
Micarta would probably make for a better user.... As if I'm gonna ever use it.
And that wood is so pretty.

And I'm not likely to modify a $300 plus knife because I'm unhappy with the handle.^ this. the handle size and shape makes little sense. it's too blocky and large in diameter. it could be improved easily at the factory, instead of relying on home mods being done in it, to make it a better knife.
While I do find the handle blocky, I don't feel it's overly large in diameter. It could be slimmer, but I don't feel the stock handle is detrimental to performance or comfort in such a robust knife. I might be alone in these thoughts; but ultimately I feel the handle is fine.^ this. the handle size and shape makes little sense. it's too blocky and large in diameter. it could be improved easily at the factory, instead of relying on home mods being done in it, to make it a better knife.
It does flair towards the guard.Does the handle flair out at the guard to cover the groove? I took a fair amount off of mine and didn’t see anything. I have one of the few left handed 124’s. I don’t like that you grab the knife and the there’s naturally a large gap between hand and guard. Not to mention the blockiness.
