You scamp!
What is this one? Looks like a YCS Karda blade with a KPH Handle.
Fantastic.

Some real beauties today. Everyone looks perfect and well done. Nice grab on the Rusty BB.
That Foxy is gorgeous.

Awesome, I got it right. Great knife.

Missing the top swedge...new version like Fiddle's?

It's probably there just can't see it because of the lighting/angle. It happens a lot with fullers as well. The pictures show them but when in hand they're far nicer.

Great score, Axel.

I'm glad fullers dont show up well, it's kept me from buying a Tin Chirra (YET!!)

Mr. Axel, be sure and have a nice fluffy beach towel handy when you open the triangle box. (treat the box kindly, I love triangle boxes).
That thing is so drop dead gorgeous your gonna be bawling your eyes out. I can feel it in my cells.

I have one and it make me heart go pitter patter every time I look at it, and when I hold it, well get the defibrillator, it's a heart stopper.

Enjoy. Well I should say I hope you get it. If you don't you can always use the towel for the opposite reason I reckon. I'll cry with you.

I know it's been bantered about, the gentle curve of the cutting edge, easier to sharpen if it was straight, but me, myself and I (that makes it a quorum) absolutely love that gentle curve. I think it just looks the way a bowie should.

This one is especially nice. These knives just seem to be getting better and better.

Nothing better than the HI curves..... if only I had more skill (or a belt grinder?)... I've been pulling my hair out trying to sharpen a convex recurve!!

When you got something flexible like a mousepad or phonebook it is surprisingly easy. Id say try it and since the edges are convex that makes it even easier. Its hard for many westerners like me to convert to this principal but once you got it then forget the fixed angle stuf and the sharpening guides etc. Get yourself a sharpie and paint the edge before you begi then you have an idea where to start. Also run the edge across your fingernail and when it begins to bite that is the angle your convex edge begins. Start there and end at some other angle that removes the black sharpie. Dont try to overcomplicate it really is that simple. HI blades like the AK's have very high angles. Test a few and you will see. The Kamis are very good at getting the right angle for the appropriate knife. Compare a KLVUK vs AK for example. KLVUK has a much thinner edge and acute angled edge compared to AK's.

Yeah, I'm getting after it with the sandpaper. Hard to find mousepads these days but I got some thin rubber kiddie play mat stuff.
I've got to just keep after it...and buy more assorted grit sandpaper.

I did manage to get it pretty sharp actually it just took me somewhat of a long time. The advice about how to find the existing angle is much appreciated.
I mostly kick myself for trying to improve on the edge it came with then making it worse! I think it's back to at least partially usable now!

The worst thing you can do is press too hard in attempt to get better cutting. In actuality what happens is the paper curls around the blade and actually dulls it more than sharpen it. Try laying a magazine over them kid pads. That will stiffen it up and I bet youll get better results. The edge in the recurve by the cho is usually more acute or thinner and its also softer so it should be the easiest part to sharpen. If your sharpie comes off at the edge first lighten up on the pressure and lessen the angle.
