13th Annual Canadian Knifemaker Guild Show Review (80+ pics)

It was a very good show! And it was great to meet some fellow forumites and talk knives! Can't wait til next year!

Thanks Andrew: I almost forgot to mention this. ;)

Yes, this was a particularly exciting show for me mainly because on Sunday, a few hours to closing, Wolfgang Loerchner stopped by to tell me that, after years of waiting, my dagger was going to be in the "on deck circle".

Wolf graciously suggested that we discuss some design elements that I might want him to incorporate. My answer was simple: "Please go ahead and do whatever you feel like doing." It is incomprehensible to me that this artist, whose work I revere, could produce a dagger for me that I would not be thrilled to call my own.

Good for you Holger, that must be pretty exciting.

Thanks, Roger - with all the waiting you must have done for some of those awesome fixed blades you own, you know how thrilling it is to hear news like that! I would have gladly waited a few more years, but I must admit it's pretty exciting to know that my little dagger is next in line. :)

Superb review and pictures, as usual. Next best thing to having been there.

Wish I had been. Nuthin' but problems...
But you probably nabbed what I would have anyway ;)
