Assembling funds as we speak. Any recommendation on which version to buy? And is the base worth it for those of us who don't have access to a shop environment (read no workbenches, thick tables, etc.)?

Thanks!

Hi Hox;

Thanks for the query.

A base is required. Some build their own, others buy one. Paperstone does the job admirably, granite is beautiful. If you are handy a hunk of plywood works. Mine is a piece of birch plywood I had laying around. You dont need a "workshop". I do much of my sharpening at my living room table watching TV with the family.

As for a recommendation. Mine is the pro system, with balsa. The final edge is quite clean and fine. If you want to carve hairs then add the 1-0.5 strops also in balsa.

Here is an image of my setup, hanging on the wall!

Looking for your order, shipping same day!

Cool I am going to order tonight I think. Money is in my account, so it's had enough time off. Time to put it to work.

Update: Ordered, thanks!

Sorry, just going crazy trying to decide whether or not I should buy this.
Been wanting one of these for the longest time.

sales brisk, supply dwindling. 15% is significant for a wicked edge system. I cannot keep this up forever.

Is this Sale just till the end of this month? I need to get to Friday to purchase but don't want to miss out.

I have no set "end" to the sale. I bought a LARGE supply of systems. My plan is to hold out with the sale until my numbers get very low. MY guess is that point will be reached by monday or tuesday. It is most likely you will be good on Friday. But, please don't procrastinate. I could sell faster than normal and get very low by then.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Scott, I received my package today, that is very quick shipping thank you.

I do have one question, the kit comes with no instructions and really doesn't need them except I ran into one problem.

Attached to the base were two rubber sided conical washers. I don't understand how those are applied. They obviously go on the bottom of the base but the conical shape would suggest that the bolt head would fit into the rubber and the steel against the base, which seems backwards to me.

How are the washers installed?

Your welcome on the fast ship. I am a bit selfish. Besides good service, I ship fast for my own reasons. I don't like orders sitting around. ;)

Put the washers in rubber side next to the base.

You should have directions. They do not cover your question, but I'll get some mailed to you.

Thanks for the quick reply.

You don't have to send instructions its a simple assembly. Just the shape of the washers threw me off, thanks for reaffirming their orientation for me.

Great service.
