#15 GEC Electrician?

Funny you say that. He makes it look reall, really easy. It's not. At least for me it isn't. I tried once and made nothing but a huge mess of things. He has been doing it since the late 60's so I'm sure he perfected his "craft" many moons ago.

I can so relate to your father. I had hoped my father in law would be around long enough to receive one of mine from me as well. He learned about it just last week and was very excited about it. Unfortunately he passed suddenly yesterday so I'm off buying a blazer appropriate for the funeral of the biggest man I ever knew. I'll be out of touch for probably a week anyway. I think I've answered everyone's questions. Posts are up on my threads for my work. Thanks guys. Even knowing something is comin never helps does it? Anyway, we're going to celebrate a masterful life sailor and the journey he had in life. Back when the celebration of life is over.

Sorry to hear this, Steve. Condolences to you and your family.

I am surprised to see an electricians knife with non bail; I always expect one on this type f knife so the knife can be clipped to a tool belt.

I think the lanyard tube provides more flexibility while still allowing bail attachment, since GEC sells bails that clip into their lanyard tubes.

These aren't sold by GEC, but by Collectorknives.net

I am really looking forward to this knife and the wait is killing me. Any update? Of not, could somebody just make something up??!?

See post #61 above. Steve has family business to worry about right now, and GEC is taking care of the Electrician meanwhile. We will hear the word as soon as possible, Steve has been keeping us informed, with the brief exception of a sad event.

About 4 weeks out as of this writing. Just got an update on that today and hopefully we'll have new pics or a proto or something here soon. Thanks guys

Latest updated pics. All parts are back from h/t I hear so we're moving along. Should see them three weeks plus or minus?? Fingers crossed and very excited!

GEC is also releasing these through their regular Distributors. Probably with different handle materials. And Branded Tidioute Cutlery. Handles will be Ebony, Black Delrin or KnifeBrite. One setup with Spear and Saw Blades, One Set Up with Sheepsfoot and Saw Blades.
