I found this old ATS-34 BM 710 today at a pawnshop for $15. It must be close to the original issue model.
Whoever had it never cleaned it or sharpened it. The clip is gone too. I oiled it and cleaned it too. I also sharpened it and got to wear it can cut paper. I will take it to GP Knives for a real sharpening and order a clip from Benchmade.

Nice score!

Was it priced at $15, or did you talk them down to $15? If it was priced at $15, then I'd say they didn't know what they had. From what I hear about pawn shops, they aren't really about giving great deals.

It was $17.99. I talked them down to $15. I was surprised at the price, they tend to be fairly knowledgeable.

Go figure. When my junkie stepson stole my Mini Barrage to feed his habit, Pawn America gave him $80.00 for it

Hi Anthony, I will give you the $17.99 they had marked on it 😄😄😄😄😄
Great Find!! Kevin 👍👍👍

You got that right!!

They let it go for $15 because it's upside down...

Why not send it back to BM spa...you can even get a new blade for about $30..or they can 're install that one properly..with the edge down..

Nice get

What are the liners milled out like? Circles? or fully skeletonised? I love my old ATS-34 710 with the fully skeletonised liners. So lite weight!

It's milled out with six holes on each side. I think this 710 was was made sometime during the first three years of the model's production.

Okay, got it. The earliest ones, as I understand it, had fully skeletonised liners Like this 710:

I'm no 710 expert. If you are on quest for more info maybe post in the BM subforum about this great knife.

An early ATS-34 710 for $15? Freaking hell of a deal. Congrats!

Well done, Anthony.

I love seeing one of our merry band getting a score once in awhile. Glad it was you, man.

It's funny, I had a first generation 710, but it has been so long ago, I forgot about the liners.

I've had a few 710s and this is the only one I've had like this. The weight saving is likely minimal vs the holes. Also, the axis lock cannot be taken out so the halves of the knife cannot be separated.
