$15 Pawnshop Find

I've had a few 710s and this is the only one I've had like this. The weight saving is likely minimal vs the holes. Also, the axis lock cannot be taken out so the halves of the knife cannot be separated.

Ive had quite a few older 710's, ATS-34's, M2HS's..never saw the fully milled out liners..only the circle millings..that is pretty cool.

The older Axis thumb studs were removable (threaded on Im guessing), hence no milled channel in the liners to drop the Axis bar in place.

All of the older Axis bar T-studs have this hole, presumably used to thread the T-studs onto the Axis bar (what specific tool, machine type was never confirmed) ..this topic came up a few years ago on the BKC..
