Meant to post these on Sunday night, got caught up at work. :(

Here's the EDC a lot of people have been waiting for.

Posted alongside the JYD I. Everyone please buy lots of these SG2 JYD II's, and maybe we can convince them to make a matching JYD I!

wow I havn't seen a JYD 2 in person but have been planning on getting this very one. I do own a JYD and Sg2 Blur though and I did not expect the JYD 2 to be quite THAT big....hmmm. I do love the design and the blade shape.


oh ya...where the hell are these available?!?!

It would be nice to have a matched set for EDC. Kershaw's got a lot of stuff in the pipeline, so I can't imagine they'd consider doing one soon, but I figure it would be nice to let them know there is interest.
 
NICE pictures..... I'm in Awe! I posted the same comparison since I also have these 2 knives. If you don't mind I'm keeping a copy of your pics. Here are mine
 
one think that kinda drives me crazy on these Ti versions, as much as I love them (so don't get me wrong)... why not have the clip Ti as well. There is a definite difference in color between the two? otherwise I am in absolute LOVE with both knives. I really think they are about the the best tacticals (utility;) ) knives to be produced in their regular line. The JYD II SG2 is perfect thickness, and the blade is a dream
 
Freakin' Beautiful!!! That is one hell of a knife. I too would LOVE to see a JYD 1 version. But how hard is the SG2? I was able to put a 'Vassilli choil' in 13C26 with a Dremel but I don't know if thats possible with super gold. It's suppose to be a good bit harded.

Also, what steel overlays the SG2? I can't remember at the moment.

I THINK the overlays are 410, and rockwell on the SG2 is 64++

The reason that this one does not have a Ti clip is that it would require new tooling to bend the Ti correctly. For this limited run, it just does not make sense to tool up. Enjoy them guys!!
 
Same question, where are they available? The links above do not have the Ti version listed.
 
I'm excited for everyone else.... I just can't stop fondling this thing. This is going to be a big hit~!
 
ok KD. here is what you need to do. you need to either quit your current job and go into pro photography or quit your current job and work for Kershaw in the advertising dept.

i know im going to have to get one of those soon. how many are being made?
 
Last I saw, Thomas said they were going to make 1000. I'm on the waiting list at New Graham, and checking my email frequently. I think I'm as excited about this one as everyone else is about the Tyrade.

yes, it's not as flashy as the Tyrade... but it's a long awaited version of an already hugely successful knife (or so I've heard). Also, this 1725SG2 is not a regular model as is the Tyrade.
 
I think some are misunderstanding....I dont think the JYD II is titanium.....just an FYI.
If Im wrong...please correct me.
I would love to see it in Ti though.
I want one either way!!

I have ordered 3 times from the Bladeshop..... no problems.
I also order from Knifeworks and New Graham
No probs. with any of them.
 
This on in the picture is the new special edition. laminated SG2 blade and titanium handle.
