I really like how every body is telling him to spend just 5-10 dollars more . I would get a Spyderco paramilitary and squeak, or maybe a nice flash light such as the Zebralight SC52 (doesn't count as a knife but might count as knife money).

The knife that has my eye right now is $46 over the amount burning a hole in your pocket.
If I was not willing to wait; I would probably go for the Ritter RSK MK1.
Alternatively, I would consider an LT Wright Patriot, BRK Mini Fox River, or Swamp Rat Rodent 3 (I'm appreciating small fixed blades more than ever). I'd suggest a Bradford Guardian 3; but the 3D scales probably bump it over your limit. (You could always buy one, and swap the scales later)
