1sks email problem?

My friend ordered from 1sks about 1 month ago, and sent in the cheque, which should be cashed in by around 3rd week of May. Till date, checking the 1sks website, we can't use the order tracking facility.

We tried contacting 1sks (now that he is back here, difficult to do phone call, time zone difference) through orders@onestopknifeshop.com but no reply, can it be due to email problem?
 
It is possible. We both use FDN's name server and it has been unreliable at times. Try to call them during their hours of operation. I know it is difficult at times but I have to call China every now and then and I know how it is.
 
Thanks to the Klez virus, our email provider has been bombarded with bounced emails with viruses attached to them, quickly overloading their capacity.

For those that don't know how the Klez works, it finds a single email address somewhere on your HD, then latches on to it, sending out copies of itself with variously tagged versions of itself, spoofing the address it found as the return addy. This return addy isn't where it really came from, so the person involved most likely doesn't know they have the virus.

The end result is that our provider had to implement quotas on the mailboxes and with all the bounces we catch due to Klez spoofing our address, we go over quota in a little over 4 hours. Not cool.

We're looking at getting a dedicated server for email at this time to see if this can help prevent this thing, but until we get some sort of solution in house, we're kinda screwed right now.

As for the specific order, without an order number, name, or some sort of information, I really can't track down what your order is, what's going on with it, or what.

Also, I'm transfering this to GBU as it's where it belongs.

I feel for your pain on the email problem. Last year it was the NIMDA .. and now you got the KLEZ.

I actually want to discuss by email (more private), but hope it is ok with you taking it here .. Order# 17530. My friend ordered for me CRKT Point Guard and another knife for himself.

His son is flying back end of June, so I don't want to miss this.
