1st Beckerhead Gathering

sooo, I may not be joining you guys at the gathering, but I know for sure I will meet up with whoever will be at Blade.
 
I will not be attending due to time, work and budgeting reasons. I will however be waiting on baited breath for every single report of the goings on.
 
We are looking for late May. I still have to talk to Ethan about it, and we are trying to get a Celebrity Guest Judge for the contests, unfortunately, his schedule will only allow a late May gathering. So, we'll see. I still need to finish working out ALOT of things I got going right now.

Just the short list

Trying to get some knife companies to come to BFC for some dealer memberships
Oh, I make sheaths
Father of 2
Husband of 1
A day job

And that's the stuff I can tell ya about.

Kewl !! sounds good to me, my schedule changes frequently with work, and now my sons in baseball but the closer it gets to May the more firm I can be on coming..

I say we start some sort of carpool with this thread for those that may be a little further out.. I'm in Tulsa sooooo, anyone interested in coming and has to pass this way maybe we can carpool.. my vehicle or yours..

Moose, you say Gator so I'm assuming you'll make trips back and forth for everyone's gear?? or can we hike it??

Would be really cool to meet a lot of you, maybe do a trade blanket for some of Guyon's stash:thumbup:;)

Alrighty then, we gots us some dates for the Gathering. The stars are aligned, and the stars are in attendance.

We are set for MAY 20, 21, 22

The spot will be at Half Moon Ridge, the actual site will be determined sometime before the Gathering.

As was said before, pack for a remote site, no amenities, and what you can carry on your back. Contests will be the same, only we have arranged a celebrity judge, which will be a suprise to those in attendance.

Gentlemen (and Ladies), its on.

Vonore Tennessee. Those that will be coming will be given directions. I don't really think Ethan wants me putting directions to his house on the interwebz. A week before the Gathering, I will have everyone coming email me and I will send out directions, GPS Coordinates, and addresses.

More worried about the fan showing up unannounced. Susan is a good shot and she don't like uninvited guests. :D

Straight up, yo. We'll be sleeping in whatever you can build on site with a BK11. That's the first contest. Winner gets to sleep more comfortable than the rest of us. :D:D
