Hey guys been looking to buy a mora knife the problem is theres so many. Im buying one with a 4" blade and under 30 dollars which ones are those. Its for bushcraft and camp tasks

Which ever one suits your fancy haha.
The big difference is carbon vs stainless.
The carbon performs better but needs more attention to prevent rust.
The Mora HD companion is a great place to start. Its a few dollars more then the Robust but has a finished spine that I believe comes at 90° for ferro rods.

I am a big fan of the No 1. It's got a classic look and I find the grip quite comfortable. However, it's hard to beat the feel and no slip grip of the Companion. If you deem you need a heavier blade the Companion HD is the obvious choice.

For a few dollars outside your budget you can step up the Bushcraft Black. It's a serious knife, but the No 1 is no slouch.

All my Moras except the fillet knife are carbon steel. Their stainless steel is excellent also though so it's not really a major decision in my opinion. Either will likely serve you well.

The good thing about Moras is they are affordable so it's unlikely you will end up with just one.

Even the little 2/0 is a serious worker in a little package. I carry it around my neck while fishing.

I have a No 1, No 2/0, Companion, Bushcraft Black, and Fishing Comfort 7" fillet knife.

Best thing about Moras is they sharpen up easily on almost sharpening implement you have around the house. A small fine diamond pocket stone is all you need to maintain a sharp edge while in the woods.

Mail just came 10 minutes ago and I got my first Mora - the Companion HD in orange. Haven't had the chance to use it, of course, but I'm very impressed with the edge, the look and feel of the knife in hand. For the price, I think it's a steal (as do most folks).

I have a feeling I'll be getting another, soon. Probably a regular Companion.

I would say as a newbie to go for the companion in whatever colour but go carbon.

It will get you used to taking care of carbon before the virus sets in and the collection begins.

Great knife....if you are using for fishing/near salt water then maybe the stainless.......or both for 12.95 each, still under your 30$ limit.
Orange in stainless for the water and green in carbon for camp.

Love my craftline (stainless). Comes in handy quite often, and for the price its often times my go to blade for those "grimey" jobs...

I have one mora and it's the light my fire one. Great blade and the ferro rod throws too many sparks for how short it is. It is tough enou to handle light batoning too. Great knife, they do their stainless real good too.

Seems like you can't go wrong with any Mora.

You really can't as long as you want a knife that is good at cutting things, not prying, chopping, torture testing etc...

I guess I take it easy in my knives because I have been using the same Moras for years field dressing deer and fish, cutting rope, opening packages, and whittling wood and I have been nothing but satisfied.

I have a couple of "heavy duty" knives intended for batoning and chopping but they almost always get left behind. When space and weight are limited I need a knife that cuts things easily and can be carried around my neck effortlessly.

I got my first Mora two weeks ago, and opted for the Companion HD for my overall woods knife, and got my wife the regular Companion with the bright green sheath for her to use when we go fishing and camping. I keep waiting for something to break, or bend, or snap, but so far, nothing has. I also have found myself asking, "What's the catch with this cheap knife? There's got to be a catch!" and so far, I've been disappointed in trying to find something wrong with it. There's just no way a knife this cheap can be this good but alas, I've been proven wrong so far.

Hoping to go out to our favorite lake tomorrow for some trout and my first chance to give this knife a decent workout in a place besides my backyard. These knives really are the best deal running, and I'm planning on getting a few more for my truck, my wife's car, and one or two for around the house.

Mora makes "Gateway" knives. They are inexpensive and high quality, sharp as can be, come in various styles and colors. When you least expect it, you are buying and collecting them all.

Agreed. The Mora Companion in carbon is a great knife that will fill any role. I keep one at home, my truck and my backpack because at that price you really can't find better blade.

I agree, Mora makes about the best fixed blades in world at their price point. An excellent product in all respects!
