I bought the bushcraft orange. It has a 90° spine which is good for sparks. A bright orange handle and sheath so is harder to lose. The Sandvick stainless is tough and easy to sharpen.

The "Companion" line is 4".

The "Bushcraft" line is 4.25".

The "Classic" line is mostly under 4" with a few over 5".

For pete's sake!
Get a companion heavy duty already.
But do get a hold of the ordinary stainless steel companion as well
So that you quit thinking about having lock jaws on the account of a rusting edge :-)

The big difference is carbon vs stainless.
The carbon performs better but needs more attention to prevent rust.
How does the carbon perform better?

OP, I like the companion the best. I have the carbon, stainless, and the HD version. Either the stainless or the carbon are great. I don't see a point to the 1/8" thick scandis so I don't use the HD. 3/32" thick is plenty strong and it cuts better.
