Hey Todd!
Could you please tell us a bit more about how did you make that Kydex seath? I am about to get all set up and I am trying to import the minimum tools (I live in Spain, shipping kills me everytime). I will be making my own press with some steel plate and I will just get the flaring dies (to use with a hammer), rivets, screws and kydex. Which is your current set up? How did you warm up the Kydex? Heatgun? Kitchen oven? uh?

Thanks in advance,
Mikel

Looks good. Especialy for a first. I agrea that it looks like the blade may be over buffed, but it's more with the grainy apearnce, may just be the light in photo. I actualy like everything rounded and smoothed out, only sharp edge I like is the one to cut with. And I love a convex edge. That said it took me a while to learn but the best mirror finish comes from taking to a near mirror finish with sandpaper first then lightly buffing to get the shine. Then again some steels just don't like to take a good quality mirror finish, depending on alloy and heat treat.

All in all excellent job, it's definatly one to be proud of.
