1whobuys what is his intent?
Spark and fellow forumites,

I did go over the top in the Strider Forum a bit,

but initially I had just viewed the picture of the fake Strider, it made me mad I felt it was a fake. I know differntly now. A fellow member Todd made it I know he is not selling it. I changed my view on the subject and posted it as such. People have the right to change thier minds and views. I jumped the gun and retract my postings.

Now I have a serious problem with a forum member his name is 1whobuys,

If you look at all of the posts he began the name calling first and would not stop. He abuses all of my posts at certain times. Just read back through his postings and you can see he does not care about Strider Knives HE IS JUST A RE-SELL MAN He basically sells Striders for way inflated prices!

Most of his posting just stirs the pot and riles people up.

Why he does this I am trying to find out. I attempted to smooth things out by communicating with him in some of his other posts today.
I do not enjoy being name called especially a POS Troll so now I have decided to just forget this mess.

I enjoy the forum but will cease to post any thing more... ever because I feel he has trashed my rep on the forums, and gets way to into the name calling and abuse.

1whobuys has driven me to never again post here.

And what is this post for? :confused: Now that you mention it, I am feeling a bit "riled". Where is that thread......Should I go flame the hell out of him for you? Drop by his house? Be an adult. If you don't like it, don't whine at us. Email him and give him the tongue lashing you think he deserves. Be ready to receive too.

Fellow Forumites....Am I too rude? Have I been hanging around "razor_edge" too much? I have alraedy seen three whining, sniveling posts in the last few hours. I do fear we are being over ran with children. :rolleyes:
 
With the decision you just made, maybe he has succeeded in his intent? You are going to get into battles on this forum. It happens to most of us at one time or another. If not, you are sitting on the fence to much, in my opinion. People will judge you by how you handle it. Taking your ball and going home seems a bit of a childish way out, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yes leaving forever (or just to read and never post is a bit dumb on my part) BUT THE guy posts pics of 1911's and such and then calls me a Bitch, ASS WIPE, and a POS troll, '

Now my reaction to that is why the hell would I want to hang around here I used to view the forums as fun a place for free thoughts and speech, some people dis agree with things thats fine, but I feel 1whobuys has it out for me, I seriously am watching my flank. Carrying the H&K USP Compact right now just in case.

Dealing with people in todays world I take name calling and 1whobuys intent very seriously.

(I know I said I would never post again but, in reality I will never post in regular regards except in this thread, when this thread is ended so to will my time here in the forums)

This is more in effort to clear the air with 1whobuys,

What is the point of this thread? You title it "1whobuys what was his intent?" Why in the world would you be asking anyone else on this forum that question, except to how do you put it.."stir the pot".

I hate to get involved in this particular forum, but this is just too much. You follow him to other threads with no other intentions than to start trouble, just like you did in the Strider forum when the true knife lovers over there slapped you right back down for making them look bad.

If you are leaving forever, or even just never posting again, this thread was pointless to you.

Why would you even both telling anyone you are leaving? Wouldn't you rather spare yourself the added attention?

1whobuys in the Strider forum. Then you come to the Busse
forum looking for him. He posted the pics in the Busse forum
because I asked him too. They aren't in the Strider forum.
You take that as a threat???? As far as I'm concerned you came
to the Busse forum to keep it going!! Grow up!!

I don't care what started what. This is taking up bandwidth that could otherwise be used for endevors that are productive toward the ENJOYMENT of knives and the knife knut community.
We don't need squabling about tit for tat crap. Give it a rest and take it elsewhere. I'm not even a moderator here, just someone who doesn't appreciate petty BS around the place.

And yes, before posting this, I did read through all of the associated and now locked (for a good doggoned reason) threads. More than one person jumped the gun on this thing that was supposed to just be a fun exercise in playing with a buffer and some tape.
All involved with the negatives should be hanging their heads in shame and typing appologies as fast as their little fingers can go.

JonLL, 1whobuys is a personal friend of mine and I seriously doubt he has any intention of coming after you physically. I would carry the H&K for others out there who "are" actual threats. I hope this puts your mind at ease.

I have not read the posts because I do not have time. Your thread prompted interest because I know the man.

Whatever got him upset at you I am sure will pass. KWM advised correctly in that you will do battle here from time to time. Let the stuff that bothers you go over your head, and just grow thicker skin.

I don't quite understand why your announcing departure? It probably won't yield the result for which you may be seeking. Most here have had a battle or two at some point, and probably won't have much interest in asking you to stay. I want to see the forums grow for the community and for Spark so I hope you do. Tell your friends about it too! That is about as good as it gets.
 
Jon,I have rarely seen such a whiney pity post in all my years on Bladeforums.You started the thread in question by trying to flame a good guy who modified a knife(he never tried to pass it off as anything else)You came off looking like an ass.You are coming off even worse in this thread with your whining.What a crybaby.Go away!

I haven't read any of the background to this yet ... but this thread sure looks like the good ol' "I'm not getting enough attention with the trolls I've posted so far, so now I'll try posting my first final farewell message and see if that catches any suckers."

I can't see that it makes much difference whether we lock this thread or not; anybody who doesn't find it entertaining won't look at it more than once....

Anybody want to guess how many final farewell messages he'll post before he finally goes away? No prizes will be awarded for the closest guess....
 
JonLL, I do not know you, I just met 1Whobuys, and read all of the locked up threads. from meeting Chuck, I think he is a prettygood guy, and I would not worry about him. Please just drop this and I am sure that he(Chuck) will do the same.
 
Okay, I read the thread you linked to, Jon, and maybe you're not such a troll; you did get flamed ... maybe you're just new to the net....

All I can tell you is no matter where you go on the net, no matter what you post, somebody will flame you from time to time. If you let that drive you off a forum you'll be driven off every forum you join, sooner or later.

The thing of it is, this forum has its own dynamic, it's own harmonic, and its own groove...give it time and you'll find it...or you'll uproot and blow in the wind, settling down somewhere else...

It's your choice, and no one can make it for you...but don't wear your heart on your sleeve in the mean time, as you'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you do.

1WB and I don't necessarily get along. As a matter of fact, I don't personally care for him. However, I fully agree with him in the manner in which he pegged you.

You came over to the Strider forum and tried to make some kid who was showing off his hard work and ingenuity look like an ass for no reason whatsoever. And then when nobody else of quality wanted to lend you support on the issue, you knuckled under and backtracked as fast as you could.

You are whiney and a troll. I think 1WB is a troll, but at least he has a spine. Be a man.

Everyone can keep beating this horse, but he'll still by glue tommorow. This topic is pretty much gone.
So far, we have: A nice guy playing around with a buffer and a cheap knife (who the hell does experiments with expensive knives?), A Strider Zealot of magnitudinous proportion and poor manners, Some folks with mouths that they darned well shouldn't be eating with and little imagination, and a lot of fired up attitude.
This is supposed to be a place of inteligent discussion, not flames from the 7th grade "flame reader". If you have to nuke someone, at least be creative for Christ sake. Name calling?
I don't care which side of an issue you are on, you can do a hell of a lot better than that. If you have to act this one out, New Orleans still has the Dueling Oaks, and Bowie knives are acceptible weapons there. Just let me know when it will be some I can come watch some folks do really stupid things.

Just to mention something. JonLL- Strider makes a hell of a knife indeed. It is not however the be all end all of serious operators. Yes some of the guys carry them. They are a tough knife or sharpened prybar depending upon how you look at it. I do the work for real with a lot of other folks who do the work for real. To tell you the truth, if you look at a team heading out to the field, there may be one guy carrying a Strider. I personally opt for the working blades of Bill Siegle. I probably see more Cold Steel than anything else followed closely by Buck and Gerber. I don't haul out to the field what I can't afford to lose. If you can drop 3-400 on a blade and operate in the field, you are either working for Christians In Action and getting a huge chunck of money, or someone else is buying the knives. For the mostpart, us field monkeys can't afford to spend the bucks on a Strider with the high potential that it will get kanked on a hop.
Lay off the guys who are doing their best. Relax and enjoy this forum. There is a lot to learn and a lot to share around here. Just be. A true warrior trains for the worst of war and strives for the best of peace.
