2---- 52100 EDC's

Dr. Ducati, I am crazy about these knives. I seriously think that these are $500 knives being sold at almost 50% off.

See what I mean about a sickness that only gets worse? No cure and it needs a higher and higher dose to stop the withdrawal signs.:-)

You know, I could be disappointed that the black ash burl is gone, but I'm not. I am confident that Bill will find a similarly beautiful piece of wood for the one he's going to make for me. Moreover, I'm happy to see him move his knives. I don't want to see him pack his bags and head elsewhere. These are some beautiful knives, and it's always nice to see them on the forums.

WOW, I take off the afternoon to do a little Bow hunting and both knives sell, I can see now I need to spend more time hunting. :D

Thank You Gabe , e-mail sent.

Hondo, I have another set of black ash burl scales just like these and they have already been set back for another edc that will be ready for you in January. Thank you for the pm's and the kind words.

Thank You

Bill

I can see I didn't think quick enough. ;) Now if Bill would make an EDC with birch burl my thinking would be over.

Steelhed, I don't think I've ever seen Birch burl, any idea where I can get a set of scales? If I can find some I'll put an end to all that thinking. :D

Thank you,

Bill

Ok Bill... enough w/the suspense... How was your bow hunting ??? Where are the pics of the monster buck you arrowed? :D

Bill,

Birch is common here in Alaska, and bowls are made out of the burls. I haven't seen any stabalized (or non stabalized) slabs in birch either, just hoping you might have. It would be cool to have one of your knives done up in birch. If you do run across any let me know. Also, I will keep an eye out and if I find some I'll send it to you for your possible use in a knife for me. Thanks

Steelhed, I sent you an e-mail.

Redsnake, I did see 2 very nice bucks and both were close enough for a bow shot but I had just climbed into the stand and my bow was still laying on the ground waiting to be pulled up, hopefully I'll get a chance with my bow in hand next time. To be continued. :D

Thank you,

Bill

Bill, got the knives, and they are awesome.

To anybody who thought about buying them and didn't pull the trigger - whoo boy did you miss out on a deal. If I had a football, I'd be spiking it. I've spent more than twice as much for knives not nearly as nice, which either means a) I'm a tard for spending that much for the other knives, or b) these were a screaming deal, (or c - all of the above).

I recently got a PM from Bill. He has set aside a nice piece of box elder burl for mine. I'm really looking forward to it. I think I'm going to ask for buckeye burl for the next one. I just hope he doesn't get the "MS" stamp too soon. My pockets aren't that deep, you know?

Good news Gabe, glad the knives made the trip safe and sound and that you approve, thank you. Whatever happen to all those toast cutters???

Hondo I'm at least 3 years away from a MS stamp, I still need to pass the fit and finish testing next June to obtain the JS stamp, I've only passed the performance part at this time.. I'll get started on those knives after the first of the year. I'm really looking forward to that.

Thanks again Gabe,

Bill

Well, that's not too bad for me. I'll be making a bit more money in three years. Maybe I'll still be able to afford your wares. :)
